DENTAL

Born and raised in Lincolnton, Dr. Will Setzer was drawn to dentistry at a young age. He spent his summers growing up in Catawba County at his grandmother's farm in Maiden. After graduating from Lincolnton High School in 2002, he attended UNC Chapel Hill where he earned bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Psychology.
 
An interest in psychology launched his career with a research team at Carolinas Healthcare System investigating traumatic brain injuries. He also worked in various roles within pharmacies at Charlotte’s CMC-Main hospital and CaroMont Medical Center in Gastonia.
 
Returning to his passion for dentistry, Dr. Setzer then obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from East Carolina University’s School of Dental Medicine. He spent his fourth year of dental school in rotations providing care at clinics throughout North Carolina.
 
Dr. Setzer and his wife Kelly have a daughter, Kate, and two sons, William and Daniel. They are thrilled to be a part of the Catawba County Dental Associates and the Newton community.
